Shenzhou XVI (abbreviated as: Shenzhou XVI) is the 16th spacecraft launched by China's manned space program.
On May 18, 2023, according to the basic information of 2023 manned space missions announced on the official website of China Manned Space, Shenzhou 16 manned spacecraft will be launched in May. Beijing time on May 22, Shenzhou 16 ship arrow assembly transferred to the launch area.
At 9:31 on May 30, 2023, the Long March 2F Yao 16 carrier rocket carrying the Shenzhou 16 manned spacecraft was launched from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The astronauts and crew were in good condition and the launch was a complete success. The crew of Shenzhou 16 consists of three astronauts: Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu and GUI Haichao.
At 21:40 on July 20, 2023, after about 8 hours of extravehicular activities, Shenzhou 16 astronauts Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu and GUI Haichao worked closely together and successfully completed all the assigned tasks of extravehicular activities with the support of the robotic arm of the space station.
At 15:45 PM on September 21, 2023, the fourth lesson of the "Tiangong Class" will start, and Shenzhou 16 astronauts Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu and GUI Haichao will give space science popularization lessons to young people across the country.
